Catherine Violet Hubbard Foundation

The Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary honors the life and legacy of Catherine Violet Hubbard, a 6-year old victim of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy. Guided by her love for all living things, the 34 acre sanctuary is committed to protecting animals, educating people and nurturing the environment.

The McChord Foundation is honored to support the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary, a place rooted in compassion, kindness and respect for all living beings. Our support is deeply personal as we have strong family ties to Sandy Hook and Newtown, Connecticut.

Our support has helped to complete the initial physical improvements onsite including Catherine’s Learning Barn. Catherine’s Learning Barn is primarily used to support the education, connection and community programs. We invite all folks who share this mission to join, donate or get involved with the Sanctuary.
